The new research leaders can now lead their own teams and conduct research at a high international level. See the list of all the 35 new research directors on the DFF website here.

The Independent Research Fund Denmark has awarded the Sapere Aude grants since 2010, so far funding 258 young research leaders, several of whom have started a career as managers of larger centre grants.

Prior to a Sapere Aude grant, the candidates have been through two rounds of assessments by the Foundation's academic research council and individual peer review by international experts, before being selected for an interdisciplinary interview.
