Profile

I conduct research on novel animal models of Lewy body disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies. In my work, I am particularly interested in multiple protein pathologies, and disease initiation and spreading patterns along the gut–brain axis. I have a background in molecular biology and have experience with animal surgery and behavioral testing, advanced imaging techniques such as microPET scanning, and biochemical methods for protein analysis.

Job responsibilities

My primary area of responsibility is experimental neuroscience, including the development and characterization of animal models of Lewy body disorders. This involves investigating protein pathology, disease mechanisms, and spreading along the gut–brain axis. I also work with biomarker discovery and the study of protein interactions in neurodegenerative diseases.
