In my postdoctoral research, I focus on brain cancer with a special emphasis on cancer neuroscience. I am responsible for collecting tissue from neurosurgical patients, ensuring that it is processed and handled optimally – either as live tissue cultures or in our research biobank. My academic background includes a degree in Medicine with Industrial Specialization from Aalborg University, as well as a Ph.D. in Brain Tumor Biology from the University of Copenhagen.
PhD in brain cancer research with a special focus on clinical proteomic investigations. Trained in the laboratory, and experienced in working closely with the clinic through multiple studies. Skills in cell cultures, molecular methods, animal models, mass spectrometry, research funding, electronic health record systems, patient recruitment, and contact.
My primary responsibility is the operation of the Human Cortex Lab's Tissue Platform and the supervision of students. Additionally, I actively contribute to several collaborations with researchers who have a particular interest in both the healthy and diseased brain.
