Current research interests are how water, the soil, and humans interact today and in the past at a global scale. Through collaboration, he is interested in novel methods and approaches to do trans-disciplinary research. This includes a.o. studies of how soil and groundwater shaped humans' prehistory and influences us today, and what safe drinking water means from a life-long perspective.
