In my PhD in medical education, I investigate postgraduate medical education and specialty choice in Denmark by focusing on the introductory position, a unique one-year employment allowing junior doctors to try out a given specialty. We look at the history of the introductory position and its current use in the Danish postgraduate setting. Concurrently, I am part of a research project on teaching narrative medicine in clinical practice.
